Is-sinjal għal KNITTING jew ĦIDMA BIS-SUF isir biż-żewġ idejn bil-forma ta’ 1, bil-pala tħares ’l isfel u bil-werrejja jiffurmaw salib, wieħed fuq l-ieħor. L-idejn jimxu flimkien ’il ġewwa waqt li l-werrejja jduru ma’ xulxin u jerġgħu jiffurmaw salib bil-werrej li kien taħt l-ieħor jiġi fuq dak li kien fuqu. Dan il-moviment ta’ tidwir jerġa’ jirrepeti ruħu.
The sign for KNITTING is made with both hands in the shape of 1, with the palms facing downwards and the index fingers across each other forming a cross, one over the other. The hands move inwards together whilst the index fingers turn over each other with the top finger moving under the finger previously below. This turning over movement is repeated.
